Group 3’s Presentation

 With all three PowerPoints that were presented I was able to learn so much. Each presentation that was shown contained so much information which allowed for me to learn so much. Even within my group and having to work on chapter 10 which the topic was leadership, I was able to learn so much from the task that I was given and form my peers. each group had their own responsibilities and within each group, everyone was able to properly execute the task given. Group 1 presentation was based off of intercultural communication, Group to topic was about communicating in groups and group 3 topic was about leader, ship, and problem-solving in a group. with each presentation that was given, I was able to learn certain information that would allow for me to either be a better leader, or a better team player when it comes to working in groups. As I continue to watch the presentation, I realized that each presentation and each topic that was given was given to help build on our team work and communication with each other. That allowed for me to realize that they’re are certain things that I can do better when working with others and they’re are certain areas that i can work on when communicating. Being able to work in the group that I worked in allowed for me to get a perfect representation of what healthy team work and communication looks like.

  Group one did a remarkable job when it came to the presentation.Throughout the presentation, you can see that they have  properly understood what they were presenting, and their presentation reflected  their team work and the team effort. In group one, I was introduced to so much new information. One thing that was said that I strongly agree with is the fact that people’s habits and artifacts are reffed to as culture. I also Agree with Fiona when she mentioned culture effect the way that various Group members, see understand, and engage with the outside world she also mentioned that peoples communication and personal relationships are influenced by culture, which is frequently learned and passed out throughout the generations. A key component of culture is communication, which allows members of a society to communicate. Growing up, I was able to have a clear understanding of what was being said, in this presentation.I can also understand what is being said due to the fact that I was raised in an immigrant household. Till this day there are certain values and beliefs that are held in my household due to the fact that it was passed on by generations. Speaking as a Haitian American, the beliefs, that my mother and grandmother has passed on to me I still hold on to them.

Group 3 presentation was one of the best presentation. The fact that I was a part of group 3, I was able to properly see the work methods of each and every one of my group members. We were able to help each other in areas that we were lacking in and also able to help each other with things that we didn’t understand. Throughout this PowerPoint, I was also able to learn some new things with this new information that I have I will now be able to be a better leader, and I also understand what it means to be a leader. Types of leader ship, which are formal leader, and informal leader. The definition of formal leader would be elected by some sort of ballot for example, the presidential election, everyone as a society chooses who will make the rules and plans on how our country will run. The definition of informal leader would be informal leaders, have a leadership qualities that makes others fall in line. People rely on the individual to help control the group environment. People tend to come to the person for advice, when struggling. also, within this PowerPoint, the five key leader ship responsibilities were introduced to. I always knew that key leader ship responsibilities existed. I just never knew exactly what they were but during the PowerPoint presentation, I was able to learn from my peer that those five key leader ship responsibility consisted of commitment to the group goal keeping the discussion on track, completing individual assignment, encouraging input from all members and managing conflict among members. 

Group 2 presentation was also a very good presentation. Group 2  presentation was based off of communication. I believe that communication is what group work and crew assignments are built on. When working in a group, everyone should be able to communicate with each other so that their roles and positions are understood. it gives everyone a clear understanding of what their roles are and how they’ll help contribute to the group assignments and to group. This presentation also talks about the different types of groups. I also learned so much about family communication pattern theories. I learned families which are their issues are not discussed, and I decided solely by the family authority figure. Consensual families, which are all members engage in conversation about an issue, but a family an authority figure still makes the final decision. Pluralistic families all members engage in conversation about an issue, and everyone participates in the decision making. Laissez- fair families members may converse about an issue, but each member makes his or her own decision, and is responsible for its consequence. Another thing that I learned was that what I thought was healthy wasn’t as healthy as I thought. I now know what characteristics of a healthy group is and what it would look like so I am now able to practice it with the next group that I work with. Continuing on, I’ll be using the things that I have a learned from each presentation when it comes to working with my group, and when it comes to bettering my communication skills with others. Overall each group did a phenomenal job and I was able to learn so much

The first presentation that was done was group 3 good eating. This topic it was interesting to me because I learned more about the importance of having good eating habits the presentation explained how good eating habits like providing essential nutrients, supporting proper body function, and maintaining a healthy weight, having healthy habits can reduce risk for chronic diseases. Not only is good eating beneficial physically but it is also great for one’s mental well being.  I agree with Yohana slide that speaks about what drives us to eat. Theme Presentation Blog

Stephanie Larios   Theme Presentation Blog Group 3- Good Eating       I found this presentation to be slightly more difficult than the first. For starters, my group had less time to prepare for our presentation. Our theme was good eating, I felt as though it was a strong topic to build our project around. With good eating comes a lot of subtopics so we had a lot to branch from. I believe our presentation was well-rounded and engaging. The information in our presentation was incredibly useful for all walks of life. I think my group has great chemistry and communication skills, we’re able to work together well. Our group had the least amount of time, which made our preparation that much harder, we had a couple of mishaps but in the end, we were able to figure out how to make it work. Presentation #2 - Group 3

     Our group recently discussed the significance of food for various reasons. Initially, it provides our bodies with nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that're crucial for our health and overall well-being. A balanced diet containing a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats can help support our body's weight management and reduce the risk of diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancer. Moreover, adopting eating habits can enhance our energy levels. Uplift our mood. By consuming food, we give our bodies the fuel needed to stay active throughout the day.
