Powerpoint Presentation

January 24, 2024   Yolva Alaincy     PowerPoint Presentation group reviews     From all the 3 PowerPoints that were presented by each group. I would say that chapter 10 from group 3 was very articulated. And not only because that was my group but because everything that was spoken regarding leadership and problem solving helped to see a different perspective about leadership roles and guidelines for meeting and formats that can be used. I believe that if someone received our PowerPoint and needed to learn more about maintaining leadership qualities and problem-solving ideas. This PowerPoint would help them very much. I enjoyed working with a group very much because we worked together as a group and shared our slides to balance out everything. It was all made easy for each one of us with the help of each other. We got to communicate affectively and see leadership being demonstrated in our group. So, as we were working together on this Powe...

Chapter presentation

The study of interactions between people with diverse cultural origins is the complicated topic of intercultural communication. People frequently experience confusion due to foreign habits, norms, and values, a phenomenon known as culture shock. Navigating these interactions requires an understanding of dominant culture, which is frequently the majority culture in a given society. Smaller groups with distinctive qualities living within the mainstream culture and forming their own perspectives are referred to as co-cultures. Gender and sexuality are important aspects of cross-cultural communication because different cultural standards have an impact on how men and women present themselves. The additional layer of sexual orientation is influenced by cultural differences in attitudes toward LGBTQ+ people, which affects communication dynamics. Religion is a strong cultural force that has the ability to mold communication methods, attitudes, and beliefs, which can affect how people of ...

Group 3 Presentation Summary

Stephanie Larios Group Three Presentation Review & Summary      This series of presentations held so much essential and useful information. I think this project was an incredibly valuable experience. I've already learned so much from my peers and our presentations. Group One spoke about Intercultural Communication; a key component of culture is communication and, they did an incredible job displaying that. They covered people's common values, beliefs, practices, habits, and artifacts. The stages of culture shock were especially interesting to hear about; because I feel as though I don't truly experience that living in South Florida being Hispanic as the majority of people have that in common. There are so many differences people can have such as race, religion, sexual orientation, culture, and age. Considering all of these factors when trying to communicate can help speak to groups more effectively and with a better understanding. Recognizing the differences in your g...

Group 3 Blog Presentation

Isabella Perez  I am really surprised to see how much I enjoyed doing this group assignment. I had a really good time working with my group and seeing how the other groups demonstrated their chapter and topics. I was anxious about this class when I realized we worked in groups and presented but after seeing the other two groups present and presenting myself, I feel way more comfortable interacting with others and working together. I also feel a bit more confident that I can do good in this class. Group 1 did an excellent job presenting their chapter and providing precise definitions. Group 2 was effective in demonstrating their chapter of communicating in groups and I was very engaged with the whole presentation. Group 3, my group did an incredible job at presenting and creating our presentation. I am super happy with the results of our PowerPoint and proud of everyone.    Group 1 had chapter 3 and were explaining intercultural communications. I appreciated the first slid...

Group 3’s Presentation

January 23, 2024 Vanika Sajousse  With all three PowerPoints that were presented I was able to learn so much. Each presentation that was shown contained so much information which allowed for me to learn so much. Even within my group and having to work on chapter 10 which the topic was leadership, I was able to learn so much from the task that I was given and form my peers. each group had their own responsibilities and within each group, everyone was able to properly execute the task given. Group 1 presentation was based off of intercultural communication, Group to topic was about communicating in groups and group 3 topic was about leader, ship, and problem-solving in a group. with each presentation that was given, I was able to learn certain information that would allow for me to either be a better leader, or a better team player when it comes to working in groups. group 3 pp review

Tereza Stewart  In the 3 power point groups that  presented their ideas on chapter 9,8,and 10, a detailed discussion on achievements, challenges, leadership and potential growth. Group 1, operating under tight time constraints, managed to exceed expectations, showcasing exceptional adaptability for a greater performance . On the other hand, Group 2 faced hurdles from a lack of organizational structure in their content, emphasizing the importance of a coherent framework.  group 3 also did a fantastic job comprehending each other’s slides, and building off one another . Nevertheless, it is essential to highlight the commendable efforts of all groups, especially considering it was their attempt at collaboration that made their PowerPoint presentation engaging . Group 1's success can be attributed to their adept time management and strategic focus. Despite the inherent pressure associated with limited time, they harnessed their resources efficiently, delivering a presen...

Group 3's presentation summary

Group 1 presentation on intercultural communication was very interesting and gave me a lot of information about topics I was unfamiliar with. I agree with the fact that communication and interpersonal relationships are influenced by certain cultures which is how we can learn about other customs and ways of living. It shows us as members of society that communication can show us other values and beliefs, body language, and rituals. I’ve experienced this in the way that my friends from different countries or states do things differently than in my family. The section on culture shock stood out to me I never realized there was stages to experiencing a culture shock but while seeing this section I noticed I too have experienced all these stages when I have traveled outside the US, like when I went to Cuba my home country for the first time in years since the pandemic I experience the honeymoon, negotiation, adjustment, and adaptation stage. The slide on Dominant culture and Co-Cultures was...
